Committee on Mission

Members:

9 members: one of whom is elected from among the committee members to serve as moderator. In accordance with the Book of Order G-9.0501b, at least one half the members shall be laypersons.

Responsibilities:

In consultation with the Mission Visioning Council, this committee will seek to support the Presbytery's vision by:

• Providing designs, strategies and resources for congregations to discern God's mission for them.
• Providing resources to interpret PC(USA) mission involvement and opportunities.
• Providing specific resources to interpret the "Self-development of People" program.
• Providing annual mission strategy.
• Providing annual event for Presbytery.
• Providing annual five-year plan for Presbytery sponsored mission trips.
• Providing triennial consultation of congregations mission directions and needs.

Note: This committee is expected to use Task Groups to fulfill the responsibilities listed.
